Alfa Romeo GT, first post

March 1st, 2006 No comments

I’m fed up for the moment with flat-panel cars (my Enzo and my Gallardo I showed here) so no more work on them.

I’ve started a few times ago an Alfa GT. I exhumed it, restart from scratch yet another time, with two main objectives in head this time : produce nice curvy panels, and concentrate on details and non-body parts.

Here is the result of one week of work, just one or two hours a day. Focused on the front as you can see.

Not proud of my previous work on the Gallardo, I decided to restart the whole job, using new blueprints this time.

This one is not perfect (some places don’t match) but drawing is higher quality than the previous one. Thanks to the author !

Enzo thread on SMCars.net

January 11th, 2006 No comments

I’ve started a thread for my work in progress on Ferrari Enzo at www.smcars.net. Here’s the link !

It’s pretty nice to have constructive comments from power users from there, and more than 600 view as of writing.

Hello world!

January 4th, 2006 No comments

Blog just started on wordpress.com, welcome to myself !

I will try to write down here my attempts to produce photorealistic, computer-generated images of cars with the powerful Blender software, www.blender.org. I do this only as a hobby.
I’ve started to user Blender in 1998, when first version for Linux was released (1.40 according to their wiki , I’m more confident in it than in my memory for such a detail). Not continuous use, but still enough to get used to its … powerful interface.

For specific photorealistic car works, I started it about 9 month ago, being amazed by work from people like Onno Van Braam (here is an example), Thomas Suurland (another example) and others. Thanks to all of them for giving me motivation !
