Hello Tom,
Doc from smcars.net referred you to me and suggest you may be able to help with a blender problem.
I am modelling and animating a large digger and have some of the hydraulic components parented to empties. when the arm rotates past a certain point the empties flip 180 degrees causing the hydraulic component (child) to flip also.
I would greatly value any help you can offer.

many thanks,
Peter Spencer

Indeed I'm one of the longest-time user of Blender on SMCars, but I'm not expert about what you're tryingto do. Did you try to rig the model instead of just parenting ?

Otherwise, I suggest you to use the dedicated section on SMCars for Blender support : http://www.smcars.net/forums/blender

What is your lighting setup on that latest orange lamborghini render? and what is it reflecting?

I used the SunSky feature integrated into Yafaray. So sun and sky color are computed automatically according to the position of the sun.

There is nothing to reflect, except the sky color and a large ground plane. The paint used is available for free here : http://www.thomasbaron.net/2009/01/tutorial-setting-up-yafaray-shaders/
